Jog-A-Thon 2025

Get ready for the most exciting event of the year — our Kickoff to the Bubble Run is happening Tuesday, September 2! We are shaking things up this year, and this is our school’s only BIG fundraiser, bringing teachers, staff, students, and families together for a day filled with energy, fun, and of course… bubbles! The Bubble Run is more than just racing through foam — it’s a celebration of community and school spirit.

 

This year, we’re raising funds to help build a NEW school library. Your donations will support: 

  • Brand new library books 
  • Shelving and tables
  • Cozy reading corners with chairs
  • And even a librarian to bring it all to life!

Let’s lace up, cheer loud, and run past our $50,000 goal to build a library and make this year’s Bubble Run our best one yet!

Register online and start collecting pledges! The goal for each Jog-A-Thon participant is to earn money from sponsors to help us reach our school-wide fundraising target of $50,000!

Dash Day Details & FAQs

On September 30, students will jog or walk laps during their designated class time period of 20 minutes. The course will be located on campus and will be facilitated by OPA teachers, Admin & the PE teacher. 

 

Dash Day Checklist

Students should:

✓ Wear athletic clothes

✓ Wear appropriate shoes

✓ Wear sunscreen

✓ Bring a reusable water bottle

 

1) What are we raising money for?

This year, funds raised for the Jog-a-thon will go towards important programs at Oxford Preparatory Academy–SV, including:

  • 📖 Our brand new Library (just approved!)
  • 🎭 Assemblies & enrichment programs
  • 🎨 Meet the Masters art program
  • 🚌 Field trips
  • 🍎 Teacher grants to support classrooms

 

2) Where will the students run?

Participants will run, jog, or walk around a "track" blocked off on the blacktop 

 

3) Will parents be allowed to come to school to watch their student run?

Yes, parents/guardians are welcome to come and cheer on their student/s. Only cleared volunteers may sign up to help.

 

4) How does my OPA student raise money for Jog-A-Thon?

Students can raise money by asking family, friends, and neighbors to sponsor them to run in the Jog-A-Thon. Sponsors can donate online via FundHub (see details for creating your student's pledge page above).

 

5) What is our financial goal for Jog-A-Thon?

Our all-school financial goal for Jog-A-Thon this year is $50,000. Each class will set its own goal to help reach the all-school goal. Any financial support will be appreciated! 

  

6) Do I have to wait until Jog-A-Thon is over to send in donations?

No, you or your student’s sponsors can send their donation on the FundHub site anytime during the event. In order to count toward the class goals, money must be received by 5pm on October 3, 2025.
